Like many other situations that I’ve put Peter through so far in the pages of this comic, this is yet another story that comes straight out of my childhood. I was taking a walk through the woods and saw a plot of land on the opposite side of a creek that was blocked off by a chain-link fence. I, being the renegade explorer that I thought I was, decided to jump the fence and try crossing the creek so I could make a spot on the clearing.
Apparently I missed the sign that said the water was dangerous to walk through barefoot. After slipping on a rock, a shard of glass from a discarded bottle went about half an inch into the underside of my foot.
This is definitely the most painful face I’ve ever drawn on Peter. Poor guy. When bad luck rains, it pours.
