Hello, everyone!

Hello, everyone! published on 159 Comments on Hello, everyone!
Peter & Company is now a proud member of the Katbox family of comics! WOO-HOO!!! To those who are unfamiliar with this comic and those behind it, allow me just a moment to provide a brief introduction. My name is Jonathan Ponikvar and I’ve been drawing and publishing Peter & Company online since 2005. My wife Whitney and I met during our time at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). She soon became the inspiration for her character in the comic, and she and I now write and co-create the series together. Over the years Peter & Company has grown into a much larger beast than I had ever anticipated. In 2012 we ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund an animated pilot episode based on the comic. The episode will be featured on Channel Frederator’s online schedule once it is complete, and updates/animation tests (in addition to concept and production art) are regularly posted to both the P&C Tumblr account and our Youtube page. Additionally, coming in mid-2015, a sequel/spin-off comic titled Peter & Whitney will be launched exclusively here on the Katbox. The story of this new series will revolve around Peter and Whitney graduating from high school and meeting up again at art school, closely mimicking the real-life story of how Whitney and I met for the first time and began our lives together. It will feature a good portion of the original cast of P&C — only now grown-up — and an entire cast of new friends and enemies. Also, unlike Peter & Company, which is perpetually “frozen in time” like many other comics/cartoons, Peter & Whitney will actually progress in time, allowing the characters to age, graduate school, and see major moments in their lives develop over time. It’s going to be a CRAZY amount of fun, so watch for the forums on here for more news! Thank you again to everyone for welcoming us to the Katbox! To those curious, all new pages from this point out will be posted to both the Katbox site here as well as on the original P&C site, so you can catch the comic either place! Whitney and I both hope you enjoy reading Peter & Company, and if you would like to contact me outside of the forums, feel free to hit me up on the following services: AIM: PeterandCompany Skype: JonPonikvar PSN, Steam, and Nintendo Network: Fragnabulator

I wonder if Claire didn’t time travel, but teleported?

Ooooo… there’s multiple uber’s.

I think I got most of the words in the message, but… not all of them.

Somebody mentioned last page that Sesame’s uber and the eye are featured in the comic’s crest, I’m curious now to know if the sword that’s depicted might prove to be a third uber as well.

i did i kinda looked at the seal the eye is on her pommel of the sword and the scarf is like a cape attached to the eye, which can only mean one thing that sesame’s family is either direct decedents or are the actual heirs to the nation meant to protect the ubers

Maybe it’s also her Future, like a Post Apocalypse type of Deal.

Yep, the force awakens references are strong with this comic (but that’s not a bad thing) the moment with stone makes me think of the moment Rey grabbed the lightsaber with the force……God I love that scene, and I can’t wait to see where things go for sesame and the daughter of Luke Skywalker.

I have to say, it’s always annoying with all the fan theories who think they know JUST what the new characters are all about. Abrams & company does this on purpose, they WANT you people to make up all these convoluted and silly theories in order to keep you from digging up and leaking anything that’s ACTUALLY true from the scripts lore databases yet to be revealed.

Interesting that it attached to Sesame’s arm… could it be the Ubers have “chosen” Sesame?

i believe it’s because she wore the scarf, which itself is an Uber, they are said to be pieces of the same item, so wearing one will eventually mean getting them all? it’s going to be interesting if they encounter another bearer.

some of it can kinda me made out by context… the words in brackets are my guesses, the ones that are just [??] o had no clue.

Forging the Ubers was not without [consequence?]. their power source [also?] fuel [the same] [??] which caused the [catastrophe?] in carthull. Capable of [seeing?] worlds [beyond] our own.
It [called] [Chaos], a [tear?]. This [rift] – it [threatened] to [??] we knew and held [??] [??] asunder.
the ubers can only halt this [cataclysm] [temporarily], they will find it – they know. we are doomed to [repeat?] our [mistakes] [once more]
the capacity for [destruction?] must be removed – if we can [return it?] [from] [whence] it came, between [realities?]. if Evyr is to be [truely?] safe [evermore?]

I wonder if Claire didn’t time travel, but teleported?

Giving it a go… the message as far as I can tell – only typing words that have scrambled letters – leaving blanks where I’m not sure what was said:

message, _____, in____act, fragments, in_____ation, protected.

forefathers__e, attempted, re__in, __. attempted, were, for, that, for, balance.

Anyone disagrees? anyone up for guesses on what I couldn’t get?

Gonna be honest, I don’t find Kibblee that attractive, sooooo….
“This will begin to make things right.”

Last comic was 140, this one is 142. Am I missing some joke or was that a misnumbering? lol

(No Star Wars reference/joke here.) Things are starting to looks like as you have seen it from the Ancient Aliens series. Love the ideas for ancient messages. Very cool!

Let’s the Star Wars jokes flow. I know they’re coming.
Here’s a deal. if I don’t see one single Star Wars reference/joke, I’ll draw a sexy Kibbles pic.

[with a small wave of a hand] These aren’t the jokes you’re looking for.

kinda seems like it’s one of the “universal alphabets”(made up alien languages), as for which one and what it says no clue. *shrug*
edit: i can tell it IS at least an alphabet as certain symbols are repeated in the message, matching them should give enough letters to guess at the words at least.

edit: i can tell it IS at least an alphabet as certain symbols are repeated in the message, using what you’ve figured out so far, i’ve noted two letters in the second to last word of the first line: in_ec_ation, no idea what word it is yet but i’ll continue attempting to compare symbols. first unknown letter on first word line 2: forefathersa_e. lifting the textboxes from the image should make “translation” easier.

edit 2: can’t find any words that match the letters i assumed for the first one, “information” fits the message though i think…

Now they know where to find Luke Skywalker

*I bop on Jack’s head* You just broke Skidd’s rule.

so did I. Sorry, I just find Sesame hotter…..and I f*****g love Star Wars

mmm, I’ve personally been more attracted to Sesame, so without further ado….

Han Solo: “I used to think it was all mumbo jumbo, a great power and unending battle of good and evil. Crazy Thing about it is….It’s true…The Force…The Jedi….All of it…it’s all true”

Leia: “General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. We now need your help again….I regret to inform you my mission to bring to Alderaan has failed….I have placed the technical readouts of the battle station within this R2 unit….Help My Obi Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope.”
Sorry, i never quite memorized the entirety of her line.

(Watches Annakin Skywalker/Darth Vader slaughtering Jedi) Obi Wan: No…no, it can’t be. Not him!!!

“….many Bothans die to bring us this information.”

why would you do that?

I’m with you, it’s a bit of a jerk move to hurt Kibble’s fans just because you aren’t one. It’s not like making these jokes is going to result in some adult art of some other character, it’s just shooting down our collective chance to get more Uberquest art. And I enjoy this world enough that I’d like to see as much as I can…

Where’s #141?

S.H.O.U.T. Furry. I now have more questions. So many possibilities… A technologically advanced race that perished? “Staring into the eyes of gods”… A discover, a knowledge that must have never been known. And they found it. And… maybe an unraveling? An apocalypse? And when did it happen? Emphasis on WHEN. This can mean so much. I NEED TO KNOW MORE!!!!!!!!!!11111111111*exclamation marks*

It seems like it parralels some of the theories about Atlantis in our world, It’s believed that they destroyed themselves by misusing a great power that they possesed, or tried to harness a power that they could not actually control. Another theory says that there was a second civilization known as Mu, and that the two destroyed each other with superweapons that make our strongest nuclear weapons look like firecrackers.

what about the lost continent of Lemuria?, most people know about Atlantis fewer people know about Mu and even fewer people know about Lemuria

It’s been ages since I actually looked into it, but I’ve seen a few references that suggest that Lemuria and Mu were actually just different names for the same place, though again, even if seperate, they were all destroyed at roughly the same time by similar means.

I like how the message is artifacted, like it’s so old the magic or whatever holds the information in the eye it has eroded. So cool!

wait, are you sure, I swear they look just like the pictures

They’re poking you on purpose Skidd and you know it. Do it anyways :3 darkfoxdown says so 😉

That gauntlet and the figures remind me a lot of Onimusha.

It is a nod to that game, twas Skidd’s idea~!

Excellent games, although the last one kind of sucked. The third was the best

I hope you’re not saying that Dawn of Dreams sucks. Demon Siege was really great, yeah, but the best? I would dispute that Dawn of Dreams was equal at least.

I admit that I might be biased due to playing Dawn of Dreams first, but to me, the game felt… more complete? That’s a bad way to say it. I like it more than Demon Siege in a weird way. Lemme run down my reasons…

Having more characters to pick from didn’t end up mattering in combat since you can just critical chain everything due to critical chains being so easy in Dawn of Dreams. In Demon Siege, it was easy to not even realize critical chains were a thing and consistently pulling them off was very difficult without spending a ton of time practicing them. But Dawn of Dreams went too far the other way, and critical chains were the go-to answer for most encounters, downplaying the differences of the characters. It’s a toss-up.

Also the big club for Gacha makes way more sense than the ball and chain ever did. There, I said it.

The story in Dawn of Dreams was a bit meh compared to Demon Siege, I will agree there. The only gripe I have with Demon Siege is that the time travelling felt really out of place to me, it just seemed like a way to shoehorn modern characters into the setting. But in the end it’s a minor one, because it lets you have much more relatable characters in the process.

The opening cinematic was amazing, and it’s probably telling that it took me a minute to remember the opening movie of Dawn of Dreams.

Dawn of Dreams, in my opinion, had superior game feel, however. For example, having a team of allies to speak to in between missions, and to see that team grow and shrink based on recent events in the story made it feel so real to me in a way that Demon Siege didn’t. Another one is getting to see Samanoske however many years down the road, especially since the game doesn’t spell it out for you right away that Tenkai is actually Samanoske. The general art direction of Dawn of Dreams also appealed to me more.

In the end, Demon Siege is still an objectively better game, but Dawn of Dreams is definitely far from awful.

…It had better puzzle boxes.

If I didn’t know any better, I suspect that the red Uber Scarf somehow used some of it’s fabric to merge the eye with it and transform it into a metal gauntlet. If my suspicion is correct, the Uber scarf has some kind of ability of expanding these Uber artifacts.

And…Farron just lost his only chance at a good life.
